Accuracy Checking Technician

Calling all qualified Pharmacy Technicians! This qualification is for qualified pharmacy Technicians, wanting to progress their career and enhance the quality of their dispensing.

Pharmacy Technician Programme

This qualification is for people wanting to progress their pharmacy career and register with the GPhC as a healthcare professional

Assessor qualification

This qualification is for Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists with an interest in supporting trainee Pharmacy Technicians in achieving their qualification.

Understanding Health Improvement

This qualification provides the necessary skills and knowledge as required by the RSPH to become a Health Champion. This will help provide health improvement advice to customers and the wider community, supporting them to adopt healthier lifestyles.

At Scientia Skills, our goal is to help you progress in your pharmacy career. We offer suitable training courses for the roles needed to support the delivery of services within community pharmacy.

Our courses are all delivered via distance learning, cutting out the need for trainees to travel to external locations and disrupting the workflow in the pharmacy caused by their absence. This also cuts out the need for any expenses to be paid to trainees and so all our pharmacy training programmes have no hidden costs.

We also limit the use of paper and post, to ensure our carbon footprint is as low as possible.

Do you provide remote pharmacy training programmes?
Yes all our programmes are delivered via distance learning. Once a trainee is placed on a programme, we will send registration forms via email for completion. These will be processed upon receipt and pharmacy course materials will be sent via email or access provided to workbooks, dependent on the programme.
Do you offer training course across the UK?
Yes we offer all our training courses throughout the UK.
Are your pharmacy training programmes accredited?
Where necessary our training courses are accredited by the appropriate awarding bodies. We work with the RSPH and Pearson.
Will my pharmacy pay for my training?
In the majority of cases, the pharmacy will pay for your training as they will benefit from the skills you obtain on your pharmacy training programme.
What training programmes do you offer?

We offer the Accuracy Checking Dispenser programme, the Accuracy Checking Technician programme, the Pharmacy Technician Programme, the Understanding Health Improvement programme and the assessor qualification. All these pharmacy training programmes will help support the pharmacy to deliver services to the community.

What is the best training course to start if I am new to the pharmacy industry?
You need to start on a programme that supports the area in which you working within the pharmacy. For entry level qualifications, we suggest you visit www.medipharm.co.uk
How long do training programmes last?
It depends on the programme you are completing, anything from 3 months to two years.
Do I get a certificate when I complete a training programme?
Yes you do. Once you have completed your pharmacy training course, we will send you a paper certificate in the post. For the Understanding Health Improvement, we will email the certificate the RSPH sends us.
Is my certification recognised by an official Pharmacy organisation?
Where necessary yes it is. We work with both the RSPH and Pearson.
Do you provide training material in hard copy or digital only?
Where possible we provide training in electronic versions to reduce our carbon footprint.
Can I start a training programme at any time?

Yes for all programmes you can sign up at any point, except the pharmacy technician programme and the assessor training programme. These programmes have four cohorts a year, so please contact us to find out when the next one is due to start.
